Scratchboards consist of a 15 point board coated with a white fine china clay. This surface is then covered with an opaque black coating (usually India ink). The user then can create black and white drawings by scratching through the top black to expose the white of the clay beneath. Available in regular white (user must coat) or pre-inked black (ready for immediate use). Pre-Inked Scratchboards are a black coated board. Uncoated Scratchboard is White.
